In 2002 I was driving to a hedge fund manager’s house to hopefully raise money from him. I was two hours late. This was pre-GPS and I had no cell phone. I was totally lost.

Till My Last Breath…

The one who is victorious never withdraws till victory is attained.

My only focus would be to attain victory and I would experience victory both in defeat and in victory.
Temporary failures, challenges or difficult situations don’t bother me, when I have the aim of being victorious.

Expression: When challenges, either in the form of situations or people, come one’s way, the one who aims for victory never withdraws. If there are excuses given to either withdraw or move away from the situation, there can never be victory. To be victorious means attempts are repeatedly made so that there is a constant and steady progress towards success. 

Experience: Temporary failures, challenges or difficult situations don’t bother me, when I have the aim of being victorious. My only focus would be to attain victory and I would experience victory both in defeat and in victory. Also I will never consider myself to be alone as I continue to receive help. I would naturally experience the support and companionship of those around me.

MEDITATION FOR INNER STRENGTH… Vol.2

Enhancing (Strengthening) Qualities With The Help Of Meditation Vol.2 

There is an important basic principle on which meditation is based - where our attention goes.
The energy of the mind and intellect flows, and where energy flows, things grow.

(For Vol.1)

Think and visualize alongside the following words in your mind, so that you begin to feel and experience what is being described. Soft music may be played in the background.

I remove my awareness from my physical body and my surroundings in which I sit and turn my attention inwards… I become aware of many thoughts going through my mind… I look at my thoughts from a detached observer point of view. I watch each thought come and then move on like light clouds in the sky… As I am a witness to my thoughts, their speed of coming and then moving on begins to slow down; my thoughts reduce in number… Gradually, I focus my attention on the idea of peace… I experience an energy wave of peace gently washing over me, removing all anxiety and stress from my mind… There is just peace… my thoughts fade away… In this moment, it is as if … I … am … peace

My mind is now calm and clear – peace becomes a feeling… I experience deep contentment within… I relish the taste of this inner state… I realize, this is my natural state; this is what I like… Having returned to my natural state of peace… I sit for a while, enjoying these feelings of calmness and serenity… I feel that in a short while, I have collected the treasure of peace…

Now I bring in front of the eye of my mind a situation that I very commonly face in my office or at home… I visualize myself maintaining my state of inner peace using the treasure I have just collected and how it is affecting my thoughts, words and actions in the situation… I feel the power of peace helping me and others… I gently repeat the scene in my mind and begin to see how the power of my inner peace gets radiated to others around me through my thoughts, words and actions and then reflected back to me by them… With this feeling of total peace, I gently return back to my awareness of this physical body, of this room.

Practice the above meditation for about 10 minutes at least twice a day. The best times are in the morning before the day starts and then once again in the night, before going to bed.

Living life big!

Living life big!

Those with an easy nature think of solutions instead of problems. Such people are free from the burden of problems and are making things easy for themselves and others too. They are in the process of creating a perfect surrounding which naturally enhances and brings out the best of everything. There are these people who choose to be happy rather than worrying about situations! Situations are temporary, then why get stressed due to something that has to go, something which cannot stand for very long.

The basic definition of past is “THE PERIOD OF TIME WHICH HAS PASSED OR THE TIME UNTIL PRESENT OR THE PERIOD OF TIME WHICH WOULD NEVER EVER RETURN BACK. If we feed in our brains this little fact, our life would automatically take a beautiful turn. 

Thinking of what happened in the past would do no good, figuratively, it could be lethal for our future. We often waste a lot of our valuable time in the thing which is impossible, that is to change the past, and doing this we unintentionally convert our possibilities into impossible to achieve targets. 

The only times worth remembering from the past are the experiences which had let us grow intellectually, morally and spiritually.

Enhancing (Strengthening) Qualities With The Help Of Meditation  Vol.1

There is an important basic principle on which meditation is based - where our attention goes.
The energy of the mind and intellect flows, and where energy flows, things grow.

The present lives of most people are filled with frequent phases of stress and anxiety. The meditation which we are sharing with you in this set of messages will help you focus on the experience of the quality of inner peace and tranquility and combat this stress or unwanted noise of negative thought and visualization processes. There is an important basic principle on which meditation is based –where our attention goes i.e. what we give our thought power and visualization power to, there the energy of the mind and intellect flows; and where energy flows, things grow. If we give our thought power and visualization power to something positive or constructive or useful, there is a constructive use of the energy of the mind and intellect, there is a buildup of the positive energy of the mind and intellect and hence there is a feeling of empowerment (strengthening). If we give our thought power and visualization power to something negative, there is a wastage of the energy of mind and intellect and hence there is a feeling of dis-empowerment (weakening).

When applied to the virtue of peace, as we ‘give’ our mental or emotional attention to the topic or idea of peace, we feed it with the invisible energy of our mind or consciousness; as a result it grows from a thought into a deep feeling of peace and the final result is the experience of inner peace – not only do our thoughts and feelings become peaceful, but our words and actions are also filled with a peaceful vibration, which is not restricted to us but which others around us also experience and absorb. Inner peace is not a state of timidity or submissiveness. It is a state of inner power. Experiment with the thoughts we will mention tomorrow in our meditation. Using the meditation as an example, you could meditate on other qualities such as fearlessness, love, humility, happiness, tolerance, flexibility, or any other quality you would like to strengthen or enhance within yourself.

Understanding Anger

Anger is a response to someone who does not do what you want them to do, or who does do what you do not want them to do.
Anger is the emotion. What we do not see and realize is that we only hurt ourselves.

What is anger, and why does it happen?

It’s simple. Anger is a response to someone who does not do what you want them to do, or who does do what you do not want them to do. That someone could be one person or a group of people. It could also be something, where a certain situation has not happened the way you wanted, needed or expected it to. As we watch the world events we become angry at the actions of one nation towards another, one group towards another, a few towards many, and many towards one etc. This is because:

a)  we are attached to the way things are.

b) we find the pain experienced by one side and feel that pain ourselves (in fact we create it in sympathy) and our response is to become upset.

Anger is the emotion. What we do not see and realize is that we only hurt ourselves, and we cannot help others who are suffering from their own anger, when we ourselves create anger in response.

STOP COMPLAINING START LOVING!

Life is not always fair. Everyone has a life but not many are able to live it. While some of us are not happy with our lives, there are people who do not have a life. Neglected people who are considered that they will never amount to anything. Surrounded by very difficult situations, live challenging them on every step. Most of us love things and then there are people like these, who love people. No permanent shelter they have but wherever they live they make it a home. Is a house really a home when your loved ones are gone? Neither enough food nor enough clothes but they know sharing. They are in situation which is very hard to imagine but they are still living it. Every basic necessity denied, everyday is a battle for them. Battle for existence! With everything going odd and against they are still better than most of us. Because they know how to love! This is what keeps them moving. Though they own nothing but are still very rich.
Money comes and money goes what stays with us are the people, people we love. Cherish every moment in life, love everybody, give without thinking and help without expecting.

All great things are simple, and many can be expressed in single words: Love, Mercy, Freedom, Duty, Hope, Peace.

DISINTER YOUR MOTTO IN LIFE…

Everybody in the universe is a different creation of god which by no means is less or more than anybody else around the world. Some people may have the best of bank balance while the others may have the most generous hearts in the world or the most brilliant brain but no attractive personality.

Many times we start comparing our lives to those whom we see around as the successful people, but doing this is nothing less than debating on the decision of god. Undoubtedly, what god plans for us is far better than anybody else or we ourselves could plan for our life, so why to waste the never returning time in such matters. 

JUST LIKE A MOVIE DIRECTOR PROVIDES DIFFERENT CHARACTERISTIC ROLES TO EVERY ACTOR WORKING IN THE MOVIE, THE ALMIGHTY GOD HAS A SEPARATE ROLE AND MOTTO FOR EVERYBODY AND EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE.
